DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police released a video and photos of two individuals that they are wanting to chat with in regards to the theft of a vehicle on the east side of the city.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a Motor Vehicle Theft that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Tuesday, May 26th , 2020, at approximately 10:00p.m., in the 15900 block of Mack Avenue , a 21-year-old man, in black Honda Civic, pulled up to a gas pump at a green light gas station then went inside; leaving the vehicle running. While the victim was inside of the gas station, an unknown male suspect, who was a rear passenger of a black Chevrolet Malibu, exited the Malibu and entered the victim’s vehicle then drove off along with the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu.

The vehicle was later recovered but Detroit Police needs assistance in locating the suspect involved in this crime. Investigators also need assistance in locating the Person of Interest who may have information pertaining to this incident. The Person of Interest was seen with the suspect just prior to the theft.

Suspect’s description:
The Suspect is a black male with a white long sleeve shirt, black pants, and green shoes (video and photo)

Person of Interest:
A black female wearing a black short sleeve shirt and blue jean shorts (photo attached)
