BRANDON TOWNSHIP, MI – One man and a woman were killed in a two vehicle crash that took place on Saturday June 27th, 2020, at approximately 10:00 a.m., on Ortonville Road.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Brandon Fire Department were dispatched to the area of S. Ortonville Road and Wiedemann for a personal injury accident. One of the occupants had been ejected and was possibly deceased.
Deputies and the Brandon Fire Department arrived on scene. A Chevrolet Express Van was traveling south bound on Ortonville when it crossed the center line and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado pick up towing a trailer filled with dirt. The driver and passenger in the van were pronounced dead at the scene.
An Oakland County Crash Investigator was contacted, and the road was closed to traffic. The Investigator arrived and began his investigation. The investigation revealed that the van crossed the center lane, side swiped the Silverado then collided with the trailer.
The driver, Michael Boose, 36-years-old, of Groveland Township, was ejected from the van and the passenger, Felicia Rowland, 30-years-old, of Ortonville, was partially ejected.
Drug use is believed to be a factor in the accident.
The occupants of the Silverado, a 32-year-old man, of Davisburg and a 19-year-old man, of Clarkston, were not injured and refused medical treatment on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
