DETROIT, MI – The three people who lost their lives in a tragic car crash Saturday night on Jefferson Ave are now identified.
They are identified as Todd Blankenship, of River Rouge, Tyler Scott Lee, of Detroit, known on social media as Southwest Ty and Tyler Lee’s girlfriend Heather Marie, also of Detroit. All three victims were in their early 20’s.
On Saturday June 27th, 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m., in the 9300 block of Jefferson, a blue Oldsmobile Intrigue was allegedly traveling east on Jefferson Ave at a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the wall of the Detroit Water Treatment Plant.
As a result of the accident, three people were killed, two men and one woman. A fourth person was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding this case are still being investigated.
