DETROIT, MI – The identity and possible location of the suspect in the video and photo is needed so he can be taken off the streets stopping him from harming another innocent person.
The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s east side.
On Sunday, May 24, 2020, at approximately 1:10 p.m. in the 11300 block of Chalmers, the suspect approached a 39 year old female victim. After a short conversation, the suspect produced a weapon and fired shots, striking the victim in the body. The victim was treated at a local hospital and has since been released.
The suspect is described as a black male, 18-25, 5’9”-5’10”, light complexion, thin build. He was last seen wearing a pink, or orange sweatshirt.
