INWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI – The victim of the shooting that occurred on June 17th in Cooks, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula, died Sunday evening, June 28th, 2020, as a result of his injuries.
The victim was identified as Douglas Orr, 55-years-old, of Cooks, Michigan.
Troopers from the Gladstone Post were dispatched on Wednesday June 17th, 2020, at approximately 6:12 p.m., to an address in Inwood Township on the report of a shooting.
The investigation determined that Douglas Orr was shot and was critically injured. He was airlifted to Marquette for further treatment.
Gault was originally charged with Assault with Intent to Murder and Felony Firearms, and his bond was set at $5 million. That charge is expected to change following Orr’s death.
Trevor Gault’s girlfriend, 20-year-old Alyssa Jean Arnold, was originally charged with Harboring a Fugitive with bond being set at $500,000.
