5 Shot at in Southwest Detroit Road Rage Incident [Updated]

DETROIT, MI – Five people have been shot at in a White Dodge Durango in what is being described as a road rage incident.

A man and wife and their three children were inside of the vehicle when they were fired upon. The husband was the driver. His wife the passenger and the three children were in the back.

The shooting took place early Saturday morning, July 4th, 2020, near Homer Street and Mullane Street. The incident began at approximately 1:00a.m. in the 8300 block of Homer.

The three children were transported to Children’s Hospital of Detroit. One of the children, a 10 year old boy, is said to be in critical condition.

Multiple first responders are on scene.

We are working to confirm these details. We have one person who states that they did witness the shooting take place.
