BAY CITY, MI – A 43-year-old man from Ypsilanti was arrested in Bay City on armed robbery charges after he allegedly held up a 7-11 in Bay County.
Michigan State Police Troopers (MSP) responded to the 7-11 store located at 3543 Old Kawkawlin Dr. for an armed robbery in progress call.
Last evening, Wednesday July 8th, 2020, at approximately 11:40PM, Bay County Central Dispatch received a hold-up alarm call. Dispatchers aired the information and provided a description of the suspect to responding troopers. Troopers were in the area and arrived at the 7-11 within seconds of the call being aired. Troopers observed a subject matching the suspect description still standing at the counter.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident. No one was injured in the robbery and stolen money was recovered from the suspect.
Bay County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted at the scene. The suspect was lodged in the Bay County Jail.
