Davison Area Man Dies in Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash in Oxford

OXFORD TOWNSHIP, MI – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating a single vehicle motorcycle fatal crash that occurred on State Street and N Oxford Road.

On Saturday July 11th, 2020, at approximately 10:57 a.m., the operator, a 38-year-old man, who was a resident of Davison, was operating a 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle westbound on State Street. As he approached N Oxford Road, he locked up the rear wheel of the motorcycle and was ejected from it.

The victim was transported to McLaren Hospital in Pontiac by EMS where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol and drug use may have been a factor in this crash.  The incident remains under investigation.
