Gladwin County Man Busted with Meth and Large Amount of Cash following Traffic Stop

ROSCOMMON, MI – On Sunday July 12th, 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post observed a vehicle on M-55 with an improper license plate in Denton Township.

The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man from Beaverton, did not have insurance and the plate belonged to another vehicle. While searching to vehicle before it was impounded, trooper from Methamphetamine. Small baggies were filled with the drug. They also found a loaded syringe and a large amount of cash totaling $5,440.

The driver was lodged in the Roscommon County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine. Additional charges will be sought for the registration and insurance concerning the vehicle. They will also be seeking forfeiture proceeding initiated for the cash.
