Motorcyclist Killed in St. Clair County Crash

ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, MI - A 58-year-old East China Township man is dead following a car/motorcycle crash in St. Clair Township.

Deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wadhams Road at I-94 shortly after 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Deputies saw that a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by a 36 year old woman from Kimball Township had failed to yield while making a left hand turn off from the end of eastbound I-94 exit ramp onto Wadhams Road.

A 58 year old man from East China Township was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Wadhams and crashed into the SUV. The man and his 44 year old wife were transported to Lake Huron Medical Center by Tri-Hospital EMS.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital, while his wife sustained minor injuries. Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Michigan State Police, United States Customs and St. Clair Fire and Rescue also assisted at the scene of the crash.
