Two Vehicles Struck by Gunfire on Telegraph Road

DEARBORN, MI – Two vehicles were struck by gunfire Saturday evening on Telegraph Road in Dearborn.

On Saturday, July 11th, 2020, at approximately 9:50 PM, the Dearborn Police Department investigated a shooting that occurred on Telegraph Road, south of Cherry Hill. 

A vehicle was in the median preparing to turn onto northbound Telegraph when the occupants heard gunfire.  A passenger in the vehicle sustained a gunshot wound and was conveyed to a local hospital.  The passenger is currently listed in serious condition and is expected to survive.  A second vehicle, traveling northbound Telegraph, was also struck by gunfire.  No occupants in the second vehicle were injured.

The investigation of this incident is on-going and is not believed to be a random act.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Our number one priority is citizen safety. When that is jeopardized, we will do everything in our power to ensure the perpetrator(s) are brought to justice. I am urging the public to come forward and provide information regarding the individuals involved in this incident.”
