RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, MI – On Friday July 10th, 2020, at approximately 11:26 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police West Branch Post were dispatched to Greenwood Road near Cranberry Lake Road for a single vehicle personal injury crash.
The investigation indicates 48-year-old Amy Lou Doll of Prescott was traveling west on Greenwood Road near Cranberry Lake Road in a 2009 Volkswagen when she ran off the roadway to the right, struck a tree, and was partially ejected from the vehicle.
The initial investigation also indicates Amy Doll was traveling at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle; several witnesses at the scene reported being passed by Doll’s vehicle at a high rate of speed immediately prior to their coming upon the crash scene. Doll was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
When troopers arrived at the crash scene, Ogemaw County EMS along with members of the Richland Township Fire Department were already on scene and assessing Doll’s injuries; she was pronounced dead shortly after first responders arrived on scene.
