Detroit Man Arrested for Shooting Incident at Westland Mall others Wanted [Video]

WESTLAND MI – A suspect has been arrested for a shooting incident at Westland Mall on July 9th. Authorities ask for your assistant to identify others who are believed to have been involved in this senseless act of violence.

The Westland Police Department made an arrest in the Westland Mall shooting incident that occurred on July 9th, 2020. Gregory Travis Jones, a 24 year old resident of Detroit, was arrested on July 13th.

Gregory Jones was arraigned on July 15th in the 18th District Court by the Honorable Judge McConnell on a total of 15 felony charges consisting of; two counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, discharging a firearm in a building, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and seven counts of felony firearm.

Gregory Jones was given a bond of $1,000,000 cash, and if he posts bond, he is required to wear a GPS tether and remain in his home. Jones has a probable cause conference scheduled for July 23, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.

This was not a random act of violence as the parties involved had interactions prior to their confrontation at the Westland Mall.
