Michigan State Police ask for Leads after Vehicle set a Blaze in Hillsdale County

VILLAGE OF LITCHFIELD, MI - At approximately 4:15 AM on Wednesday, June 17th, 2020, Troopers from the Michigan State Police Jackson Post were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle fire in the 100 block of Clay Street.

Through investigation, Troopers discovered that suspects used an accelerant to ignite a vehicle on fire after approaching on foot. These suspects then fled the scene on foot through several residential properties in the same area.

Litchfield Firefighters responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation. The Michigan State Police is asking for anyone with information related to this incident, or suspect identification to contact the Michigan State Police, Jackson Post or the OK2say confidential tip line.
