Known Suspect Wanted for Evergreen Rd Non-fatal Shooting

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police need your help to bring a known suspected shooter into custody.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Sunday, July 19th, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m., in the 19100 block of Evergreen Rd, the suspect, identified as Ronald Uriel, 63-years-old and a 47-year-old woman were involved in an altercation. A 58-year-old man intervened and the suspect left the location.

A short time later Ronald Uriel returned, produced a weapon and pointed it at the victim. During a struggle for the weapon, Uriel shot the victim then fled the location in a blue Chevy Malibu.

The vehicle has a side trim molding hanging from the vehicle and an 82nd Airborne bumper sticker on the rear of the vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics and was listed in temp-serious condition.
