Grayling Man Dies from Fatal Hit and Run Motorcycle Crash

LOVELLS TOWNSHIP, MI – Michigan State Police continue to investigate a fatal motorcycle hit and run crash that occurred in Crawford County early Saturday morning.

On Saturday August 1st, 2020, at approximately 1:00 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post were dispatched to the area of Lovells Road and near County Road 612, for a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. That location is between Lewiston and Grayling not far from I-75.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the motorcycle had been struck from behind, throwing the rider, Troy David Lambert, 56-years-old, of Grayling, from the motorcycle. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.

Troy Lambert was transported to Munson Hospital in Traverse City where he later died due to injuries he sustained in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
