DETROIT, MI – Two suspects were arrested early Saturday morning after they were allegedly involved in a triple shooting that left one person dead inside of a business on Woodward Ave.
On August 8th, 2020, at approximately 2:20 a.m., in the 3400 block of Woodward Ave, two armed men, ages 23 and 24-years-old, who was accompanied by a 23-year-old woman, entered the local business.
Upon entry, the suspects began arguing with a third man who was seated inside. Allegedly, the argument escalated with one of the suspects exchanging gun fire with the third man. As a result of the shooting, the 23-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the body, along with the 23-year-old woman. A 60-year-old man who was inside the location was also struck by the flying bullets. All three suspects fled the crime scene after the shooting.
The 23-year-old male suspect, from Roseville, was privately conveyed to the hospital and listed in critical condition. He was taken into custody. The 24-year-old male suspect, from Lansing, was located at the hospital as well. He was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.
The 60-year-old male victim was transported to the hospital by medics and listed in temporary serious condition.
The 23-year-old female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The third suspect is still at large.
It is unknown at this time if he was injured. No other injuries were reported. Two handguns were also recovered. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
