2 Suspects Wanted in East side Non-fatal Shooting

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in locating two male suspects wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s east side.

Preliminary on Sunday August 9th, 2020, at approximately 10:30 a.m., outside of a residence in the 5700 block of Coplin, a 39-year old man and his friend were at the home, when they got into a verbal altercation with two known male suspects, ages 26 and 59-years old.

During the altercation, both suspects produced a firearm. The 26-year old man allegedly pointed his weapon at the victims, while the 59-year old man
allegedly fired shots that struck the 39-year old man.

After the shooting, both victims fled. Officers who were responding to the area were able to locate the injured victim and render aid. He was then transported to a local hospital where he was listed in temporary serious condition. A barricade gunman situation was declared. After a check of the home, it was determined that the suspects were not present.

Detroit Police needs assistance in locating these suspects.

Suspect #1 is described as black male, 59-years old, armed with a long gun.
Suspect #2 is described as black male, 26-years old, armed with a hand gun.
