CRAWFORD COUNTY, MI – On July 22nd, 2020, at approximately 8:00 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post were dispatched to a report of an argument between a man and woman in the parking lot of a local restaurant in Grayling.
While completing their investigation, the woman actively assaulted the man and was arrested.
The troopers contacted a man and woman in the parking lot. The man stated he and his girlfriend were arguing because she had been drinking and he did not want her driving.
The woman, identified as 31-year-old Marina Delrae Davis of Grayling, said she had come to the restaurant to get something to eat when her boyfriend came to take her home. The troopers detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from her. Davis was asked to submit to sobriety tests. During the test, she charged towards her boyfriend who was sitting in a nearby vehicle and began hitting him.
Troopers arrested Marina Davis for domestic assault. After her arrest and placement inside the patrol vehicle, Davis began kicking and breaking items inside the vehicle. She then tried to push past a trooper standing in the vehicle doorway to assault her boyfriend again. Marina Davis was lodged in the Crawford County Jail.
Marina Davis is charged with one count Domestic Violence and one count Obstructing and Resisting Police. She was arraigned yesterday in 46th District Court in Crawford County. Her next court appearance is on September 15, 2020.
