ALPENA, MI – On Saturday afternoon, August 15th, 2020, troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Apena Post and deputies from the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Long Lake Road.
There was a report of approximately 30 motorcyclists surrounding a house and pounding on the door. The motorcyclists fled the scene prior to law enforcement arriving. It is not known why they were at the residence.
Troopers along with officers from the Alpena City Police Department located a group of the motorcyclists and initiated a traffic stop on eight motorcycles and one pickup truck on Johnson Street near Woodward for several moving violations.
The motorcyclists were displaying colors/patches from the different clubs, “Outlaws”, “Black Pistons” and the “Pariahs”. There were a total of 12 men, all from Saginaw and Flint in the group. A search of the truck and its occupants resulted in the seizure of narcotics, three pistols, brass knuckles and an assortment of knives.
Three men traveling in the truck, a 30-year-old man from Clio, a 41-year-old man from Burton and a 44-year-man from Flushing, were arrested on various charges and lodged in the Alpena County Jail. They are scheduled to be arraigned on September 1st, 2020 in the 88th District Court in Alpena.
