PONTIAC, MI – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office released video of shooting that took place on Friday August 21st, 2020, where two people were injured.
At approximiately 11:25 AM, Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the intersection of Mechanic St. and N Roselawn St. on the report of two subjects shooting at a moving vehicle.
A home in the area was equipped with a surveillance system and captured the incident. Two vehicles are seen stopping on Mechanic St. Two subjects got out of the vehicles and began shooting at another vehicle driving through the intersection. The vehicle being shot at fled the area south on N Roselawn St. The 2 suspects fled west on Mechanic St.
Deputies checked the area for subjects involved but were unable to locate any of the subjects involved in the incident. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene and taken as evidence. Detectives responded to the scene to start their investigation.
A short time later Detectives were advised of two possible gunshot victims at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital. Detectives contacted with both subjects who had received broken glass injuries. A 31-year-old man and a 20-year-old man admitted being in the vehicle being shot at but could provide no details as to why anyone would be shooting at them.
