DETROIT, MI – On Friday, September 4th, 2020, at approximately 1:55 p.m., in the area of W. 8 Mile and Cherrylawn a man and a 2 year old boy died from a high speed fatal car crash.

The 29 year old man who was driving a Dodge Challenger was traveling at a high rate of speed east bound on W. Eight Mile near Cherrylawn when he collided into 63 year old woman who was driving a white Ford Escape.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the challenger hit a building.  The driver and his occupants, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl were conveyed to a local hospital and where they were listed in critical condition. The two-year-old boy unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.  

The driver of the Ford was also conveyed to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.
