DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown man who dropped off a baby at Sinai-Grace Hospital.
UPDATE: The man and woman have been located. The female is doing fine. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are still under investigation. No further information is available at this time
On Thursday, September 10th, 2020, at approximately 9:27 a.m., an unknown man pulled up to Sinai-Grace Hospital located in the 6000 block of W. Outer Dr., exited his vehicle and asked another person who was entering the hospital to hold the baby until he parks his vehicle. The unidentified man then left the location and never came back.
He is described as a black male, late 40’s – early 50’s, 5’10” – 6’2”, medium brown complexion. He was last seen wearing an unknown light colored hat, light colored short sleeve shirt and light colored pants with the left leg of the pants pulled up. He was driving a silver older model Dodge Durango with a gold colored rear hatch.
The Detroit Police Department is concerned for the welfare of the mother. The baby is identified as a female and when left at the hospital appeared to be a only few hours old.
