Oakland County Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession of Child Porn

NOVI, MI – A 27-year-old Novi man is the latest in the long string of individuals throughout the years who just have not gotten the message that it is wrong and illegal to possess child pornography. This suspect allegedly had over 50,000 files of child porn that were located on devices that he owned.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit (CCU), Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, announced the arrest and arraignment of Andrew Joseph Keith, 27-years-old, of Novi, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material.

The investigation began early this year, when police became aware of Keith possessing upwards of 50,000 files concerning child pornography.  Further investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his home in Novi led to his arrest.

Andrew Keith was taken into custody on September 10th, 2020, by the MSP with assistance from the Novi Police Department.  He was arraigned on Friday, September 11th, at the 52-1 District Court on five counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime.  He was issued a $25,000 cash bond and lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
