Troopers Catch Fleeing Subject After a Foot Pursuit

EVART, MI – After reading this, one has to ask, will they never learn that being on the wrong side of life just brings more problems than they really bargained for.

On September 16, 2020 at approximately 3:46pm, troopers from the Mount Pleasant Post were patrolling near Waters Edge Dr. and 85th Ave. in Evart Township, Osceola County. They observed a man running from a vehicle that had just crashed.

Troopers immediately began a foot pursuit and quickly apprehended the 48-year-old Blanchard man. The man had a suspended Michigan Driver’s License and threw a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine while fleeing from the troopers. Additionally, he was wanted on warrants out of Osceola and Mecosta Counties. The vehicle he was driving did not have insurance and had an unlawful plate. He was lodged at the Osceola County Jail and has not yet been arraigned.
