Detroit Police want to Identify Eastside Retail Fraud Suspect [Video]

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a larceny that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Thursday, September 10th, 2020, at approximately 10:30 a.m., in the 3000 block of Gratiot, a store employee observed an unknown man putting several store items in a tote container. The suspect attempted to leave the location through the emergency exit door but was unable to open it. He then exited the front door, and fled in a white Dodge Journey south on Mitchell St.

Investigators determined that the suspect was involved in an additional larceny at the same location on July 13, 2020.

The suspect is described as a black male, 50’s, approximately 6’2” to 6’4” tall, with dreads. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black undershirt, and red jean pants.
