DETROIT, MI – On Friday September 25th, 2020, at approximately 8:45 p.m., it was reported that a 16-year-old boy was playing basketball with a group near Smart Street and McDonald, when an unknown male suspect pulled up in a black Chrysler 300 and parked. He then approached the group on foot and fired multiple shots. As a result, the 16-year-old victim was shot in the face.

The suspect fled the location on foot running and left the Chrysler 300 at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and listed in temporary serious condition.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.
