Suspect Wanted in Double Non-Fatal Shooting

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a Double Non-Fatal Shooting on the city’s west side.

On Saturday, September 26, 2020 at approximately 7:05 p.m. in the area of
Belleterre and Burlingame a 4-year old girl and a 22-year old man were shot.

A known suspect, Devontae Lamar Berrien, exchanged words with an individual at the location, then fired multiple shots. As a result both victims were struck. Devontae Berrien fled the location after the shooting. Both victims were transported to al local hospital, listed in temporary serious condition.
