DETROIT, MI – An unidentified suspect stole an iPhone 11 after he pretended to be a potential paying customer at a cell phone store on the city’s east side.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a larceny that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Thursday, October 01, 2020 at approximately 6:05 p.m. in the 12600 block of E. Jefferson, suspect walked into the cell phone store and asked to see an I-Phone 11. After the store employee let the suspect examine the phone, the suspect fled the location on foot with the phone.

Suspect is described as a black male, medium build, with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, black pants and black/white gym shoes.
