REED CITY, MI – Jacob Christian Holford, 29-years-old, of Reed City has been formally charged in the death of Gary Pickvet of Gaylord.
Jacob Holford was arrested in Wexford County by the Michigan State Police 7th District Fugitive Team on October 6th, 2020. MSP had been in contact with Jacob Holford working with him to have him surrender when he was taken into custody without incident.
Jacob Holford was arraigned on October 8th in the 86th District Court in Antrim County for one count of open murder. Holford is being held in the Antrim County Jail on $500,000 cash bail amount.
Gary Pickvet Jr., 34-years-old, of Gaylord, went missing on Saturday October 3rd, 2020 and he was found dead in a ditch 3 days later under suspicious circumstances.
On Sunday October 4th, 2020, Michigan State Police launched an investigation into the disappearance of Gary Pickvet after a family member reported him to be missing. The investigation led to the interview of an acquaintance of Pickvet.
His next scheduled court appearance is schedule for October 21st, 2020, at 3:00PM.
