DETROIT, MI – On Friday, October 9th, 2020, at approximately 8:00pm, patrol officers from the 7th precinct were traveling south on Garland Ave near E. Warren when they collided in the intersection with a 29-year-old man driving a Pontiac G6 that was traveling east on E. Warren.

The impact caused the scout car to crash into a church.  

Medics responded and transported both officers and the driver of the Pontiac to a local hospital.  The officers and the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Pontiac was listed in temp serious condition.

The officers were listed in stable condition, one of the officers has been discharged.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated. Updates will be provided once received. No further information at this time.
