HARRIETTA, MI – The vehicle and body of an 87-year-old man missing from Saginaw County was located on Sunday October 10th, 2020, near Cadillac, Michigan in Wexford County, nearly 140 miles northwest of Saginaw.
Karl Adam Marker, an 87-year-old man, from Saginaw County, left his residence on the morning of Thursday September 17th, 2020 at approximately 8:00 am. He was going to the Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw, where he would frequently go to walk for about an hour. Mr. Marker did not return home. He was last seen driving his 2011 GMC Savannah van. It was described as a light tan or silver in color vehicle with a Michigan license plate AUY500.
Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post have confirmed that the vehicle belonging to Karl Marker has been located. Near the vehicle they also located the body of an unidentified person. The body is believed to be that of Karl Marker.
The vehicle and body were found in Slagle Township on a two track roadway stuck in the mud. An area resident contacted authorities to report the vehicle as being abandoned.
Positive identity of the body is waiting on the medical examiners report once the autopsy is complete.

It is with a heavy heart that we want to share Karl has been found today. It is not the outcome we were hoping for, but the closure we desperately needed.
We want to thank family, friends, and all of our new friends in the community that aided us in the search efforts to locate him. Additionally we would like to thank the several companies that had their fleets actively watching for him. The support we received from everyone has been absolutely amazing and we cannot thank you enough.
