Argument in Eastpointe Leads to Gunfire

EASTPOINTE, MI – On Monday October 12th, 2020, at approximately 3:27 pm, Eastpointe Police Officers were dispatched to the 17000 block of Veronica regarding shots fired.

It was later learned that a man, in his late 20s, suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder area. A witness reported that the suspect vehicle fled the area. Upon officers arrival, the victim had an apparent wound and was immediately transported to a medical facility.

Moments later, officers located the suspect vehicle and subsequently arrested two male occupants. One of the men is familiar with the victim.

Allegedly, there was an argument outside the residence that resulted in gunfire. The investigation is ongoing at this time and no further information will be released.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
