Detroit Police Release Video of Felonious Assault Suspect on Mack Ave

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking community assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a Felonious Assault that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Thursday, October 8, 2020, at approximately 6:30 p.m. the 64-year old male victim was at a gas station in the 14400 block of Mack, the victim stood in line behind the suspect who was at the counter making a purchase. The victim initiated a conversation with the suspect resulting in words being exchanged between the two that escalated into a verbal confrontation.

During the encounter the suspect partially pulled out a gun from his pocket and threatened the victim. Afterwards the suspect walked out of the gas station and entered the passenger side of a white Audi SUV.

Prior to the suspect leaving the location he encountered the victim a second time and punched the victim in his face. He then returned to the front seat of the White Audi SUV, and fled the location with the driver west on Mack Ave.

The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to early 20’s, slim build, wearing a black face mask, Black white and blue windbreaker Nike jacket, black Nike pants with two white lines going down the legs and white Nike shoes.
