ALPENA, MI – On Friday August 28th, 2020, at approximately 6:00PM, a trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post was dispatched to a report of an assault that took place at a residence on Bolton Road in Maple Ridge Township.
The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for 61-year-old Timothy John Sharp, of Paw Paw, for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
The victim called 911 to report he and his brother had gotten into an argument at their mother’s home. During the argument, Timothy Sharp allegedly pointed a pistol at the victims forehead. A .22 caliber pistol was recovered at the scene.
An arrest warrant was issued by the Alpena County Prosecutors Office and Sharp was arrested on September 23rd, 2020 at his residence by troopers from the MSP Paw Paw Post. He was lodged in the Alpena County Jail.
He has been charged with one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. He was arraigned in 88th District Court in Alpena and was given a $5,000 or 10% bond. His next scheduled court appearance is set for October 15th, 2020 at 9:30AM.
