Parole Violator Arrested for Multiple Breaking and Enterings in Livonia [Video]

LIVONIA, MI – Norman Fuchs was arrested by Livonia Police for multiple breaking and enterings of businesses in the area. Based on records from the Michigan Department of Corrections, Fuchs has 18 felony convictions that he has spent time behind bars for. One of those convictions was for Armed Robbery.

In recent weeks, Livonia and other cities have experienced a rash of business Breaking and Enterings.

The suspect would make entry into the businesses by either prying open a door or by using a sledgehammer to break through the glass. Once inside the business, the suspect would steal money and checks by prying open the cash register or by breaking into their safe.

Livonia Police Department investigators were able to develop a suspect with very limited information. The suspect had broken into nine Livonia businesses to include Cantoro’s Market, UPS store, I-Hop restaurant, Mary’s Grill restaurant, and five other businesses in the Buckingham Plaza. On October 7, 2020 at around 9:30 pm, Livonia investigators had confirmed that the suspect had just broken into five businesses in the Buckingham Plaza. Livonia patrol officers were called to assist and performed a felony stop on the suspect’s vehicle as he was Eastbound on I-96.

Norman Fuchs, 45-years-old, of Farmington Hills, was taken into custody. At the time of arrest, Fuchs was still in possession of a pry bar and multiple checks from one of the businesses that he had just broken into.

Norman Fuchs was arraigned in the 16th District Court of Livonia on nine counts of Breaking & Entering. He was denied bond. Fuchs is currently on parole and was also charged with a parole violation. Fuchs is due back in court on October 22nd, 2020 for his probable cause conference.
