Man Shot and Killed at Sunoco Gas Station in 9900 block of E. Warren

DETROIT, MI – On Monday October 19th, 2020, at approximately 6:06 p.m., in the 9900 block of E. Warren, a 31-year-old man was fatally at the Sunoco gas station by an unknown male suspect. We are being told that the victim went by the street name of “Eastside” or “Eastside Q”. Further we have been told, but it is unverified at this time, that the victims name was Quinn Briggs.

Photos posted on social media show that the victim was shot and killed in the entrance to the inside of the Sunoco convenience store located at 9949 E Warren Ave.

The victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Detroit Police are looking for a tall Black male, in his 20s, with an average build, wearing all gray, black face mask, driving a white Chevrolet Malibu, with the license plate number of EGJ-3489.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are actively being investigated.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance locating
two Persons-of-Interest who may have information regarding a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s east side.

On Monday, October 19, 2020, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the 31-year-old male victim had a verbal altercation with an unknown male inside the gas station located in the 9900 block of E. Warren. As the victim walks out of the gas station, an unknown suspect fire a shot, striking the victim, fatally wounding him.
