Detroit Man Charged in Dearborn Road Rage Incident

DEARBORN, MI – Luis Angel Berrios-Rosario, 38-years-old, of Detroit, has been charged in connection with a road rage incident that occurred in Dearborn.

On October 18, 2020 at approximately 5:41 p.m., Dearborn police officers responded to the area of Warren Avenue and Chase Street in Dearborn for a report of shots fired.  The officers located the victim of the incident.  It is alleged that while traveling in his vehicle westbound on Warren Avenue toward Greenfield Avenue, the victim noticed a vehicle driving erratically.   It is further alleged that as the victim drove alongside the vehicle of Luis Berrios-Rosario. The suspect pulled a weapon and fired it at the victim, striking his vehicle.  

The investigation by the Dearborn Police led to the apprehension of the Luis Berrios-Rosario.  Further facts and evidence will be placed on the record in court during the Preliminary Examination.

Berrios-Rosario has been charged with Assault With Intent to Murder, Assault With Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, Discharged of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Felonious Assault and four counts of Felony Firearm.  He was arraigned in 19th District Court today and received a 100,000 cash bond. His Probable Cause Conference  is on October 30, 2020.
