DETROIT, MI – Two people were shot in the 12500 block of Linwood Street on Monday. One of those individuals did not survive.

The Detroit Police Department needs help identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.  

On Monday, October 19th, 2020, at approximately 1:30 p.m., in the 12500 block of Linwood St. a 25-year old male victim was sitting inside of his vehicle when an unknown male suspect driving a Gold Chevrolet Trailblazer pulled alongside of him. The suspect then exited the driver’s side of his vehicle, walked up to the victim and fired multiple shots fatally wounding him. After the incident the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction.  

A second male victim stated he was walking into the store of that location when he heard shots and felt pain. He was transported to a local hospital and listed in stable condition.  

No other injuries were reported. 

The suspect is described as a black male with a possible dreadlock hairstyle, dark complexion, thin build, and was last seen wearing all black.
