DETROIT, MI – Gavin Early was shot and killed on June 25th, 2006 by a still unidentified gunman. That was over 14-years-ago.

As of today there is up to $14,000 cash that can be yours or someone you know that has the information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of 23-year-old Gain Early’s killer.

The unknown shooter, who is still at large, is described as a man who is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, has a medium complexion and wore a type of ponytail.

The incident took place near the intersection of Chicago Boulevard and Woodward Avenue.

Gavin’s brother has bought a vehicle that he had been working on to fix up. That night Gavin and his brother were out riding around in that car when the axel broke and the car became disabled.

While waiting on a tow truck, friends of Gavin and his brother decided to drive to their location to wait with them for the tow truck. While they were seated in the friends car waiting, the unidentified suspect appear out of the bushes. He had one of his hands hidden behind his back. As soon as the suspect appeared out of the bushes, Gavin’s brother told the friend to hurry up and drive off. Gavin was seated in the back seat.

As the friend was driving off the suspect fired his gun into the vehicle, striking Gavin in the chest, killing him.

No motive is known as to why the suspect fired round into the car beyond possibly robbery.
