DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police are requesting help to solve the murder of a 48-year-old man that took place in early October.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating
and identifying a vehicle wanted in connection to a homicide that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Friday, October 9th, 2020, at approximately 1:55 p.m., in the 18000 block of Fenkell a 48-year-old man who was traveling southbound on the Southfield Expressway in a 2005 burgundy Ford Escape. The driver exited the expressway at Grand River & Fenkell and while stopped at the red traffic light, a newer model silver Chevrolet Impala pulled alongside of him and began firing shots into his vehicle. The suspect then fled the traffic light location where he traveled westbound on Grand River Ave. and then turned left onto northbound Avon St.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by medical staff where he died due to his injuries.
