YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, MI – Two men were killed on eastbound I-94, in Washtenaw County, early Saturday morning, when they were struck by a vehicle that was being driven by a suspected drunk driver.
Michigan State Police Troopers (MSP) from the Brighton Post continue to investigate a double fatal traffic crash on Eastbound I-94, near Harris Rd, in Ypsilanti Township, at 1:40 am, on Saturday November 7th, 2020.
The preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle struck two construction workers in this area. The cause of the crash is suspected to be alcohol related.
The driver of the vehicle, Ryann Musselman, a 29-year-old woman from Belleville, was arrested and lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail on 2 counts of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death.
The two victims have been identified as Nicholas Andres Sada, a 23-year-old man from Lansing, and Davyon Desmon-Aereailes Rose, a 23-year-old man, also from Lansing. Both died at the scene of the crash.
In a sad but very true entry to this story, Davyon Rose posted to his personal page on Facebook, at 1:06 a.m. Saturday morning, the following: “Hoping all my drunk friends and family make it home safe tonight.” Less than 45 minutes later he and his co-worker, Nicholas Sada, would become victims of a suspected drunk driver, who would take their lives while she was behind the wheel of a vehicle that she had no business doing, if those facts are true.
The investigation continues into this incident.
