It was just announced that long time game show host of Jeopardy, Alex Trebek, has died from pancreatic cancer. He was 80-years-old at the time of his death.

Alex Trebek was the host of Jeopardy for 36-years. He started hosting the game show in 1984 and continued to do so until the time of his death on Sunday November 8th, 2020.

Trebek had battled pancreatic cancer for almost two years. On March 6th, 2019, he announced that he had been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer and that he was seeking treatment and hoped for a positive outcome.

In May of 2019 he updated his fan base stating that he was responding exceptionally well to treatment and that some of the tumors had shrunk to half of their previous size. However, after treatments of chemotherapy and other means, we have lost a national treasure in Alex. He will truly be missed by millions of people.
