DETROIT, MI – Jahim Weathersby, 18-years-old, of Detroit,  has been charged in connection with the homicide of Darius Jones, 19-years-old, of Detroit.

On June 26th, 2020, at approximately 3:30 a.m., it is alleged that Jahim Weathersby participated in the robbery and fatal shooting of Darius Jones. Darius Jones, Jr.’s body was found wrapped in a carpet inside of an abandoned home. The 19-year-old’s body was discovered around 8:15 p.m. in the 11800 block of Elmdale. 

Jahim Weathersby has been charged with Felony Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Armed Robbery.

He was arraigned on Tuesday November 10th, 2020 in 36th District Court.  The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for November 24th, 2020, at 8:30 a.m., before Judge Kenneth King in 36th District Court.  The defendant was remanded to jail.
