UPDATE: The 33-year-old male suspect involved in this shooting turned himself in the 3rd Precinct at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020.

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department needs assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred in the city’s east side.

On November 11, 2020 at approximately 12:55 a.m. in the area of 3rd and Fort, the 37-year-old male victim was outside of a location when the suspect pulled up in a green 2020 Dodge Durango, Michigan Plate # DQJ2445 exited and approached the victim. The suspect then fired a shot, striking the victim in the body. The suspect re-entered his vehicle and escaped. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics and was listed in serious condition.

Suspect was described as a black male, heavy-set, bald with a long beard. He was last seen wearing a light pink ‘Odd Future’ hooded sweatshirt, ripped light blue jeans and white tennis shoes, armed.
