PONTIAC, MI – On Monday November 16th, 2020, at about 11:53 p.m., Oakland County Sheriff Deputies and Star EMS responded to the 70 block of Candlelite Lane on the report of a man who had been stabbed by his girlfriend. The caller, the victim’s brother, reported that his brother had been stabbed in the shoulder 4 or 5 times.  This was not the first time that his brother had been stabbed by this same person.

Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the victim’s mother who stated that her 44-year-old son was stabbed by his live-in girlfriend. She stated his 27-year-old girlfriend had stabbed him on a previous occasion and that she stated she would do it again. She reported that he became frightened as she was yelling at him so much that he fled to a residence across the street.

The victim was initially uncooperative with Paramedics from Star EMS and Deputies. He then acknowledged to Deputies that it was his girlfriend who had stabbed him. He stated he then fled to his mother’s residence after being stabbed.

Paramedics from Star EMS rendered aid to the victim and transported him to McLaren Oakland Hospital for additional treatment. The responsible fled the scene before Deputies arrival. Deputies canvassed the area for her without success. The incident remains under investigation.
