FLINT, MI – Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson announced the arrest of Flint Police Officer Justin McLeod during a press conference on Wednesday November 18th, 2020. 36-year-old McLeod is accused of allegedly raping a young girl several times over the past 2 years.
The young girl called a nurse who works with the Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team. That telephone call started an investigation. That investigation Sunday evening took them to a residence in the 6000 block of McKinley Road in Flushing Township which resulted in McLeod’s arrest.
Justin McLeod had worked with the Flint Police Department for five years and was part of the department’s K-9 unit.
Sheriff Swanson said prosecutors were reviewing the case and he expects several counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct to be filed against Justin McLeod.
