DETROIT, MI – Two suspects are still on the run after they fled from a car that a Detroit Police Officer saw them firing weapons from early Friday morning. One suspect who was with the two at large was arrested.
On Friday November 20th, 2020, at approximately 12:40 a.m., in the area of Woodward Ave and Covington Dr, a Detroit Police officer observed shots being fired from of a gray Chevy Malibu. The officer activated the scout vehicle’s overhead lights and sirens and attempted to affect a traffic stop at which time the driver of the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and fled. The vehicle came to a stop in the area of Pilgrim and Cruse when it struck another vehicle.
Three male suspects then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. One of the suspects, an 18-year-old male, was arrested. He was transported to a local hospital by medics and listed in temporary serious condition from injuries sustained during the accident.
The two other suspects are still at large.
Two weapons were recovered from the vehicle and spent casing were recovered from the original scene.
