[Update: DPD just sent out a correction on this incident. The victim did not survive their injuries. This went from being a critical hit and run to a Fatal Hit and Run.]
DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit & run pedestrian crash that occurred on the city’s east side.
On Friday, November 21st, 2020, at approximately 9:20 p.m., in the area of Morang and Rossiter St., a 33-year-old man was walking across the street when he was struck by a silver Ford Flex. The Ford Flex fled the location, traveling westbound on Morang.
Medics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was died due to injuries sustained when he was struck by the vehicle No other individuals were injured.
