BENTON HARBOR, MI – The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) – West Team, along with the Berrien County Tactical Response Unit, executed a search warrant in the 500 block of McAllister Avenue in the city of Benton Harbor on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020.
Located at this venue was approximately an ounce of crack-cocaine packed in more than 100 individual baggies, three pounds of marijuana, an unregistered pistol and other evidence indicative of narcotics trafficking. A 44-Year-old male from Benton Harbor was arrested as a result of the investigation. He was lodged at the Berrien County jail on various charges. His identity is being withheld pending arraignment.
The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) is comprised of sworn law enforcement personnel from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Allegan Police Department, Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Covert Township Police Department, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, Michigan State Police, South Haven Police Department, Saint Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, and Sturgis Police Department.
